Bleach is one of the popular manga and anime series that narrates the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who can see spirits and becomes a Shinigami, the guardian of balance between the world of the living and the spirit realm. Within this narrative, there are numerous captivating characters and locations, one of which is the Soul King Palace – the dwelling of the Soul King, a being responsible for maintaining the equilibrium of the world.
The Soul King Palace is a palace situated atop the Soul Society and is encircled by four major cities. Access to the palace is granted solely to those possessing the Ouken, a unique key crafted from the bones of Division 0 or Royal Guard members, an elite force safeguarding the Soul King.
The Soul King Palace comprises five layers, each vigilantly protected by a member of Division 0. The first layer is Tenchūren, housing hot springs with the ability to heal wounds and bolster reiatsu. This layer is guarded by Tenjirō Kirinji, a Division 0 member renowned as the "Hot Spring Creator."
The second layer is Hōōden, containing delectable sustenance capable of restoring energy and enhancing spiritual capabilities. Kirio Hikifune, a Division 0 member known as the "Food Artisan," guards this layer.
The third layer is Hōhōden, harboring legendary swords forged from the souls of Shinigami. Ōetsu Nimaiya, a Division 0 member titled the "Swordsmith," guards this layer.
The fourth layer is Shūten, encompassing exquisite attire capable of adapting to the wearer's form while shielding them from adversary assaults. Senjumaru Shutara, a Division 0 member referred to as the "Tailor," is the guardian of this layer.
The fifth and final layer is Shirafune, containing enigmatic chambers capable of altering the names and forms of the objects within. Ichibē Hyōsube, the leader of Division 0 known as the "Monk who Calls the True Name," is the protector of this layer. This layer also houses the primary chamber where the Soul King resides.
However, the Soul King Palace is not forever shielded from the threats of adversaries. One of the most formidable foes to assail the palace is Yhwach, the leader of the Quincy, a human race gifted with the ability to manipulate Reishi. Yhwach attacked the Soul King Palace driven by potent objectives and motivations.

His principal objective is to forge a new world unbounded by limitations between Quincy, Hollows, and Shinigami. He believes that the present world results from Shinigami manipulation, forcing the Soul King into a prison that regulates the world's balance. He aims to emancipate the Soul King from Shinigami's chains and supplant him as the new Soul King.
Another motivation is to exact vengeance for the Shinigami's betrayal, which led to the extermination of the Quincy in the past. Yhwach regards the Quincy as his offspring blessed by the Soul King with the power to divide souls. He nurses a grudge and fury over Shinigami viewing Quincy as a menace and committing genocide against them. He desires to punish the Shinigami for their transgressions and reclaim Quincy's honor.
Yhwach launched an assault on the Soul King Palace accompanied by his forces known as the Sternritter, elite Quincy bearing unique powers symbolized by alphabetic letters. He also enlisted other subordinates, such as Arrancar, Fullbringers, and Bount. He faced numerous obstacles and engaged in fierce battles on each layer of the Soul King Palace, including confrontations with Division 0 members who possessed extraordinary strength. Nevertheless, he succeeded in reaching the primary chamber housing the Soul King and ended his life with his sword. Thus, he commenced the process of reshaping the world according to his wishes.
