The story of these three OVA episodes will take place between season 1 and season 2, where Rimuru faces various intrigues within the kingdom of Coleus. Coleus is a human kingdom experiencing a succession crisis due to its aging ruler.
Rimuru must infiltrate the kingdom and pretend to be the Great Phantom Thief, a famous thief in the fantasy world. His goal is to solve the kingdom's problems and uncover the big secrets behind the rivalry between two potential kings: Prince Sauzer and Prince Aslan.
Prince Sauzer is supported by the nobility, while Prince Aslan is supported by the members of the Free Guild, an adventurer organization in the fantasy world. These two princes have different desires and reasons and are also connected to Luminous and Ultima, two demon women with a past relationship with Rimuru.
