Domain expansion is one of the most powerful sorcery techniques in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. This technique allows the user to create a special space that surpasses other sorcery techniques. However, domain expansion actually has several types depending on the level of perfection and how deadly its effects are. There are three types of domain expansion shown in the story: deadly domain, non-deadly domain, and imperfect domain.

1. Deadly Domain

Deadly domain is a domain expansion with effects that definitely hit the target and quickly kill them. This type often appears in modern-era sorcerers, such as Gojo with his Unlimited Void. Unlimited Void is a domain expansion that absorbs all information from the target and makes them unable to move or think. This technique is very difficult to avoid or deflect.

2. Non-Deadly Domain

Non-deadly domain is an old type where the user has to apply their own rules within the domain. Although not intended to cause harm, sometimes opponents suffer more troublesome effects. An example of a non-deadly domain is Mahito's Self-Embodiment of Perfection. Another example is Higuruma's Domain of Judgement, which makes the target follow the rules of judgment set by Higuruma. If the target violates these rules, their cursed energy will disappear.

3. Imperfect Domain

Imperfect domain is a domain that lacks barriers. Usually, this is due to the skill level of the user. An example user is Megumi with his Chimera Shadow Garden. Although imperfect, this type of domain is very advantageous because it will not be affected by techniques like Gojo's Hollow Purple. An imperfect domain can also be used to attack opponents from a distance.

Domain expansion is a fascinating and diverse sorcery technique. Each user has a unique domain expansion that fits their personality and fighting style. By understanding the types and differences of domain expansion, we can better appreciate the extraordinary work of Gege Akutami.
