ANIMEKO.ORG - Jujutsu Kaisen, currently one of the most popular shonen manga, brings another chapter filled with action and surprises. In Chapter 248, titled "Decisive Battle in the Uninhabited Territory," we witness the clash between Ryomen Sukuna, the curse king residing within Megumi's body, and Rika Orimoto, the curse queen who is Yuta Okkotsu's childhood friend.
The chapter begins by showing that Higuruma, one of the participants in the Culling Game with an execution sword, has been killed by Sukuna's attack. Sukuna manages to evade Yuji's attacks using the same execution sword and then strikes Yuji with full force. Sukuna is surprised to see Yuji has healed from his injuries.
Meanwhile, Kirara and Ui Ui appear and retrieve Higuruma's corpse using a cursed teleportation technique, the same one used to steal Gojo Satoru's corpse. Sukuna realizes they are taking Higuruma to Shoko Ieiri, a shaman skilled in reverse curse technique, to heal his wounds.
Sukuna also realizes that Yuji has learned to use the reverse curse technique, allowing him to recover quickly from injuries. Sukuna is frustrated that Yuji can rapidly improve his abilities and that he doesn't easily give up, even when facing Sukuna. Sukuna sees Yuji as someone disrupting his plans and amusement.
Above Sukuna, a light appears, revealed to be Kogane, a bird overseeing the Culling Game. Kogane informs that Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji's friend and a descendant of the Zenin Clan, now has the authority to activate the assimilation between Tengen and all humans in Japan. This is Kenjaku's contingency plan to create a new world by merging all humans with Tengen, the god protecting the universe.
Sukuna engulfs the light and declares that he will kill Yuji and all other Culling Game participants and have fun with the results of Tengen's assimilation. Sukuna doesn't care about Kenjaku's plan; he just wants to enjoy destroying everything. Suddenly, Yuta Okkotsu, a shaman with powers equivalent to Gojo, appears to kill Sukuna.
Yuta attacks Sukuna with his sword, but Sukuna easily parries it. Sukuna threatens Yuta that he will kill everyone Yuta cares about, including Rika, Yuta's childhood friend and curse queen. Yuta then summons Rika and attacks Sukuna with his right hand.
The chapter concludes with the showdown between Sukuna and Rika, a battle between the king and queen of curses. Who will emerge victorious in this battle? And what will happen to the fate of Yuji, Megumi, and all humans in Japan? We'll have to wait for the next chapter, which will be released next week.
