ANIMEKO.ORG - Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a high school student with extraordinary physical abilities but lacks interest in sports. One day, he comes across a cursed finger belonging to Ryoumen Sukuna, a legendary curse spirit with fourteen fingers. To save his friends from cursed spirits' attacks, Yuji decides to swallow Sukuna's finger and become Sukuna's vessel. Thus, he becomes the target of jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits aiming to control or destroy Sukuna.
Despite Yuji's remarkable strength and resilience, he is inexperienced in jujutsu battles. He also has to face powerful and dangerous enemies, both human and supernatural. Some of them have even managed to defeat Yuji, both physically and mentally. Here are five characters who have defeated Yuji Itadori:
1. Finger Bearer
Finger Bearer is a cursed spirit that evolved into a stronger form by consuming Sukuna's fingers. It has two heads, one humanoid and one animalistic, and the ability to control other cursed spirits. It appears in an underground prison where Yuji and his classmate Megumi Fushiguro are searching for another of Sukuna's fingers.
In the battle against Finger Bearer, Yuji struggles and even loses his left hand due to the vast difference in their powers. He is also nearly killed when Finger Bearer attempts to pierce his chest with its claws. Fortunately, Yuji manages to activate Sukuna within him and easily decapitates Finger Bearer's heads. However, Yuji pays a steep price: losing control of his body and almost killing Megumi.
2. Aoi Todo
Aoi Todo is a third-year student at Kyoto Metropolitan Jujutsu High School. He is a highly powerful and renowned jujutsu sorcerer with a technique called Boogie Woogie, allowing him to swap positions with anything he touches. Todo also possesses incredible physical strength, capable of shattering rocks with his fists. He has an obsession with his ideal type of woman and frequently asks others about it.
In their first encounter, Todo overwhelms Yuji with his martial arts technique, leaving him badly beaten. Todo even declares Yuji the weakest jujutsu sorcerer he has ever met. However, after Yuji answers Todo's question about his ideal woman, Todo changes his attitude and considers Yuji a friend. He later helps Yuji improve his abilities by teaching him about the flow of jujutsu energy.
3. Choso
Choso is one of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, cursed spirits born from cursed human wombs. He is the eldest brother of three siblings, the others being Eso and Kechizu. Choso possesses a jujutsu technique called Blood Manipulation, allowing him to control his own and others' blood. He also has a strong emotional bond with his brothers and vows to avenge them after Yuji kills Eso and Kechizu.
During the Shibuya incident, Choso targets Yuji for revenge against his deceased brothers. In their battle, Choso lands a fatal blow that leaves Yuji unconscious. However, when Choso attempts a final strike, he experiences a phenomenon called Memory Manipulation. This makes him remember false memories of his childhood with Yuji, causing confusion and hesitation. Ultimately, Choso decides not to kill Yuji and even helps him escape from execution by Yuta Okkotsu.
4. Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu is a second-year student at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High School, hailed as a highly talented jujutsu sorcerer comparable to Satoru Gojo, his teacher and senior. Yuta has the ability to mimic any jujutsu technique he has witnessed and possesses a reverse cursed technique called Cursed Rika, the spirit of his deceased fiancée. With Cursed Rika, Yuta can easily defeat his enemies.
After the Shibuya incident, Yuta is assigned to execute Yuji, perceived as a threat to the jujutsu world. He finds Yuji while Choso is busy fighting Naoya Zenin, a member of the Zenin clan also seeking to kill Yuji. With a single attack, Yuta pierces Yuji's chest, leaving him on the brink of death. However, Yuta heals Yuji using the reverse cursed technique after hearing an explanation from Satoru Gojo communicating telepathically. Yuta then joins forces with Yuji to face other enemies.
5. Sukuna
Sukuna is the most powerful cursed spirit ever known, known as the Curse King, possessing fourteen fingers scattered across the world. He has extraordinary strength, speed, endurance, and jujutsu techniques, easily defeating special-grade cursed spirits. Sukuna's personality is arrogant, cruel, and indifferent to anyone but himself. He often mocks and taunts Yuji, the bearer of his fingers.
Yuji's defeat against Sukuna is the true terror, as it leads to Yuji agreeing to a pact with Sukuna. This pact allows Sukuna to take control of Yuji's body for one minute, with the condition that Sukuna cannot kill or harm anyone during that time. However, Sukuna has another plan: to collect all his fingers and regain his full power. He is also intrigued by the secret within Yuji's body that allows him to survive even after being consumed by Sukuna.
